In light of past events where the Philippine Daily Inquirer Writer Rodel Rodis wrote numerous articles that baselessly accuses Senator President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III as an accessory to the alleged crimes of his brother Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and Richie D’Horsie for he helped them clear their charges. The alleged crime was the sexual assault of Pepsi Paloma which led to her self-destruction.

All supposedly was settled then, however Rodis resurfaced the issue and made another controversy about it after the Senate President asked his company for the removal of the articles.

Bitter as the writer may have been, Rodis posted a Facebook post that explicitly states that the approval of Tito Sotto’s request would lead to a chain reaction of politicians asking the company for the removal of their articles. A clear over reaction on the issue which lead to him also posting two photos with his sentiments which refers to the Senate President’s request.

The letter was addressed to the president and Chairperson of the Inquirer Paolo Prieto. Within the letter lies the request for the removal of three articles made by the seemingly overreacting writer which was about Pepsi Paloma.

The sad thing about the matter was that the writer violated the privacy of the Inquirer’s head, he posted photos of the letter addressed to Prieto online all while damning the rights of the person he wrote about. Sadly, either his anger or bitterness lead to a crystal clear display of his unprofessionalism.

You can refer to Rodel Rodis’ Facebook post below:

“Senate President Tito Sotto has "requested" the Philippine Daily Inquirer to remove from its website all the articles I wrote about him ("The Rape of Pepsi Paloma" and "Was Pepsi Paloma Murdered?"). If the Inquirer agrees to his requests, a dangerous precedent will be set. Duterte will demand that my articles denouncing him should also be removed by the Inquirer. Jinggoy, Bongbong, even China will also send their demand letters to Inquirer.”
