Telling the Truth is Not Impeachable- Camp of Leni Robredo

I don't want to be biased in anything. However, in my own opinion if someone already reported those allegation then why the revelation about the issue was late? And in line with this, most of us will think that there is something fishy going on.

Also, if President Rodrigo Duterte really made something against the law while implementing the war against drug, I don't think that it will be open to public. Because those videos, stories may already use as an evidence against the President.

The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo insisted that there is nothing impeachable about her statement revealing alleged police abuses in President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs.

Robredo's spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez, said telling the truth is not an impeachable offense.

Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said he is looking at the possibility of filing an impeachment complaint against Robredo for betrayal of public trust based on her recorded statement played during a United Nations forum in Austria last Thursday, the same day that an impeachment complaint was filed against President Rodrigo Duterte.

"Tingnan natin betrayal of public trust. Parang dini-discourage mga tao na pumunta dito," Alvarez said in an interview over the weekend.

The House leader announced his plan to file an impeachment complaint a day after the same complaint was filed against Duterte. He believes that Robredo was involved in the ouster bid, which the vice president denied.

Interior and Local Government Assistant Secretary Epimaco Densing over the weekend said that a group of volunteer lawyers are working on an impeachment complaint against Robredo.

Densing also cited economic sabotage as one of the possible charges against the vice president.
Robredo revealed in the video, posted by DRCNet Foundation on YouTube, the police's alleged "palit-ulo" scheme and warrantless searches in poor communities in Metro Manila.

Hernandez clarified that the information from the video came from published reports and first-hand experiences of families who approached their office.

Hernandez belied claims that the vice president was destroying the image of the Philippines before the international community.
